Ready or not, here I come…
This is what's been playing in my head for the past few days. I've received an unexpected surprise last week. I will be assigned to our newest client at
As I've told my friends, I felt that I am a trainee excited and nervous to go to my "new" job. A fit description - leaving my "comfort zone" and embracing the "outside world" for new challenges and experiences. It's also a chance to meet new and interesting people that might eventually become my friends.
A brief backgrounder: I have been a member of the team that is responsible for the implementation and development of the in-house package/system that caters to the needs of the non-life insurance for four plus plus (4++) years. That is why it’s safe to say that I'm a bit adept in the in's and out's of this system. First, being delegated to the Accounting team (by means of draw lots hahaha) as a trainee, being assigned to numerous implementations and then gradually shifting to the Underwriting team and heading it for a while. Whew! What a journey it has been (*drama mode on*).
So, is it now obvious why my nerves are quite jittery? Aside from leaving my colleagues that I also treasure as friends, what bothers me a little is that I’ll be starting from scratch again, on my own. But it’ll be fun and exciting right? :P
Too much drama eh? To think that I'm not resigning yet (hehehe).
